Peter McGrath, whose career in audio spans four decades, is Sales Director for Wilson Audio. A well known and respected recording engineer, he travels the country recording a diversity of orchestras and artists such as Renée Fleming and Martha Argerich. He has recorded for many labels, including Harmonia Mundi and Audiofon (his own company). He is presently the stringer for NPR in the southeastern US. Never at a loss for words when it comes to his passions, he can talk eloquently about classical music, multichannel sound, and Wilson speakers.
Mr. McGrath will discuss Wilson speakers and recording techniques.

Thanks to Rich Warren, this tour has become a tradition at Audio Consultants and one of our most popular events.
Rich Warren has worked in radio for 40 years and is celebrating his 34th anniversary with WFMT. At present, he hosts the Folkstage live concert series and the famous Midnight Special, one of WFMT’s longest running programs which turned 55 this year.
Mr. Warren is a University of Illinois graduate. He has covered audio, video, and consumer electronics for several newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune. Currently he is a contributor to Sound and Vision and he reviews folk music recordings for Sing Out magazine.

Steve Silberman, National Sales Manager for Ayre Acoustics, has been with Ayre for 5 years. His interest in the company, however, dates back to 1994 when, while working in retail, he heard a demonstration of the V-3 amplifier given by Charles Hansen.
Adam Center is the newest member of the Ayre Acoustic Design team. Since joining Ayre, he has greatly contributed to improving quality control, production protocols, and development procedures. His first lead design project is the newly introduced DPS/Ayre three-phase analog power supply.
Ariel Brown began his career with Ayre as a college intern. He is now Senior Development Engineer and is considered Charles Hansen’s “right-hand man.” He co-designed and co-developed practically every Ayre product since the K-1xe.
The dynamic trio will discuss the KX-R Preamplifier, the DPS Turntable and new ideas about digital audio technology.

Brad O’Toole, who is Director of Marketing for Transparent Audio, started his career in audio in 1981 building crossovers at Wilson Audio. Since then, he has been involved in all aspects of operations, sales, and marketing of high end audio.
Transparent cables and related products have been praised worldwide by customers and critics for their musical quality. Many distinguished recording facilities and independent recording engineers have chosen Transparent to achieve technical excellence.
Mr. O’Toole will highlight the MM2 cable and show how it represents an improvement over the MM, its predecessor. He will also demonstrate how cables and power conditioning affect the performance of audio and video systems.

Scott Soloway is the resident scientist at Audio Consultants and the manager of the Evanston store. After graduating from Knox college with a degree in math and physics, Scott began a career in audio/video retailing. He has been with Audio Consultants since 1983.
Scott will bring you up to date on the ever changing world of video technology, from the state of Blu-ray to the latest advancements in display technology. Scott will discuss where things are, where they are going, and what it all means to you.
